The Plot

Illusion came clamoring back into the hideout, a look of annoyance on his face. It was one of the rare times when Illusion was sane which generally only happened when he was angry. It was not a good time to bother him. It had better be something good to have interrupted his fun... He tossed the sack of money from the bank off to the side and went into the "briefing" room, which consited of one long rickety table and many mismatched chairs around it. Most of the Lutions were already there.

Well? Whats going on? he said, still sounding agitated.

Dementia looked up when she heard Illusion come in, noticing he was actually sane for the moment. She made eye contact with him and gestured to the chair next to her saying, Don't worry Illusion...I garuntee it'll amuse you immensely...Dementia smiled her crooked, demented smile and turned her attention back to Shade in the chair on her other side at the head of the table.

Shade put his boots up on the table, "Well, i believe it's time we bring fear of mutants to the masses. It is far too long that we have been persecuted. Tomorrow we will send a message to the Governor."

Illusion narrowed his eyes inquisitively, while the remnants of a smile flickered about the corner of his mouth. The Governor... Tommorow? Where? When?

With a look at Shade first, Dementia proceeded to answer the questions. She reached into her coat pocket and pulled out a folded-up flyer. I found this nailed to a pole this morning...It advertises the annual city-wide political convention, at which the Governor will be attending. She paused a moment to look around at her fellow lutions and smiled dementedly. In short our plan is to infiltrate the convention and take the Governor hostage. Using him as leverage we will proceed to make demands on the government to better our living conditions....and our own positions, of course.

Axel was among the others, sitting around the table. Much like many of his fellow Lutions, a smile of amusement was forming on his face. He didn't say anything, however, merely stayed silent to delve in whatever other details Shade and Dementia had.

Illusions eyes glinted, and narrowed as his personality regained him. Ill provide the cover... he snickered, thinking of the countless ways he could get them into the convention.

Dementia returned Illusion's smirk with her own demented smile and said, Good. Between you, Mindscape, and myself we have our entrance covered easily. Turning to look around at the other Lutions assembled around the table, Dementia continued. As for the rest of us, Shade and myself will be putting you into groups. These groups will have respective duties such as perimeter guards, crowd control, and so on. The commanding group will be comprised of Shade, obviously, along with Illusion, Mindscape, myself...and Axel. Once we have apprehended the Governor, the rest of you will move in and begin your specific duties. Further instruction will be provided once we have you all in your respective groups, so I suggest that if you wish to join us you don't wander far today.

Dementia finished her speech and sat down again, waiting for Shade to add whatever he wanted to the end of it.
